About:

Sewanhaka High School senior John Iacona and juniors Kaitlyn Milinic and Emma Reifschneder have been selected to receive the Students Building Bridges Award at the Nassau County Yom HaShoah Commemoration ceremony at Hofstra University on April 27. The students are role models for their classmates and greatly deserve this recognition. John is on the board of directors for the Rock Out Cures and has also helped raise money for the America’s Vet Dogs charity, Kaitlyn volunteers through her church and at Elmhurst Hospital, and Emma volunteers at Elmont School District’s SKIP (Summer Kids Interactive Program).
